well, we made it.
we kissed Jen, Russ Holl, Tim and Sarah good bye, hopped onto a13 hour flight then a 45 minute flight, an then a 20 minute drive to our place.
The airport experience wasgood, we flew emirates economy class, at pearson, we just kinda waited around till the plane was getting loaded,then went to the bathroom, and then got on.
We sat near thebackof the plane and had a centre aisle to our selves. Thomas was entranced by the 15 episodes of george shrinks and watched 5 episodes of bearinsteen bears before falling asleep for 7 hours.
Daniel was playing video games for a bit, then he too crashed… and was out for about 7 hours also. Whenthey awoke,emirates had special kids meals that had smarties, chickenfingers,a mars bar, a little toy,a puppet… all kinds of stuff. hte longand the short of itis thatthomas has a badcold,but other than  that,theflight was awesome.
We landed in dubai and hit up a pharmacy so thomas could get some drugs into him. Did so,then started running the wrong way on the moving sidewalks… only rule, dont hit people. Daniel and I did that for about 30 minutes then we went to find our gate.
after a 2 hour stint inthemall, we were off to doha.
This time we kept them awake for the flight it wasup and down, 45 minutes total, then into doha airport.
atthedoha airport, they park the planes away form the terminal,andyou bus over. sowe all crowded onto a bus and off we went. we got in line for all the people from countries other than qatar, and waited.
Got up to the customs agent,and she asked forourpassports, again,2 minutes later, we were off to get our bags.
followed the streams of people and located our flight onthebaggage claim conveyorbelts and then waited…
and waited… and waited…
only about 20 minutes,but after the15 hours in transit…. it seemed long.
we grabbed everything loadedit onto carts, then had to unload it so it couldbe screendd for customs again.
So, we unloaded everything,fired it through the x-ray machine, and then reloaded it again.
out totheexit area, found or driver waiting just outside the terminal, andgotinto thevan to take ustoour new home…

Hey Everyone.Christmas has comeagain, and this year is exciting, scarey and tons of fun withthe boys.
We were up in collingwood with the lusignans for Christmas eve service at First Church Collingwood. That was nice, we had the traditional Schellenberg family christmas eve dinner. We got home last night and went to bed pretty quickly after that. This morning Santa had arrived, and the boys loved their presents. Daniel got a leapfrog gaming system and a few games. Thomas got a bucket full of dinosaurs. I got a newHugo Boss suit and Jengot a very very expensive bracelet…
we are heading up to Creemore later on today for a family dinner with the schellenbergs and the lusignans. Then jen and I come home alone to pack and move.

Hey Everyone…
The schellenbergs are hanging out at the great wolf lodge in niagara falls. Holly came downwith us and right now Hol land Jen are out getting their nails done. I wanted to have themgoout and getsome serious girl time in, cause I think that in the next few months Jen’s girl time away form the kids will be seriously lacking<grin>
I’ll take some shots of the boys on the water slides, the park in general and maybe the cub-club room… Both Daniel and Thomas are loving the arts and crafts down there… Me, I just like hwo everyone is relaxed and having a good time…
Well… we are flying onthe28th… Jen and I got the message at about 7:30 am, nad Jen has been on the phone since, and I have been getting logistical stuff done.
This adventure has officially a start date, Both jen and I are very excited… The boys are just happy cause we are going to the great wolfe lodge for a family vacation.
Yah… Visas are in for Ryan schellenberg, Jen schellenberg, thomas schellenberg and daniel schellenberg. It is nice to not be homeless anymore<grin>
Jen and I went out last night… we had a friend from the church, Aryn come over. All was good till about 8:20 when the power went out. Aryn was able to get the flashlights, candles going, get the boys down to bed,all in a strange environment… Not to mention how boring it would have been after they went to sleep. The phone wouldn’t have worked, even the internet wouldn’t have been working!!! AHH!!!
well, here’s to resouceful babysitters… Thanks Aryn.
