Well. first off, we should make sure that everyone realizes home is canada. Jen, kara and the family took off on saturday morning at 1:50 am. the flight to london was uneventful and then heathrow… heathrow where all travelers go to die. Air Canada’s flight to canada was delayed 170 minutes. regardless, jen has to go get boarding passes etc. Jen and the troup were 6 minutes late to teh gate. Air canada told them that heathrow policy states that if you are late, you don’t get on…
the good news is they had 4 flights that day… too bad noon was full, but they may be able to go standby on the 3 pm or 7pm flight…

I think jen must have raised her voice cause a few minutes later they found 4 seats.

They were all met at pearson and there was a big reunion where the cousins were tearing around the terminal… lots of fun for weary travelers.

I had one pulled over on me last night. Jen planned a big surprise party at a friends place. Martyn hosted a big party for all our Qatar friends. (both of them). No, there were kids, adults, teenagers, tons of people all gathered for a yummy lasagna, Cesar salad, Jen made a huge cake with the apple logo… It was a ton of fun.
One of the more questionable gifts I received was a bachelor survivor kit. Contents: bottle of Jergens firming hand lotion, box of tissues and a bite guard… seems a bit violent if you ask me! Jen splurged and got me the new Sony E-Reader. I think the only reason I was able to behave at the party and not sit in the corner and play with it was that it didn’t come fully charged(bad Sony)
Thanks to everyone who came. I had an absolute blast.
thanks jen!

19 Days!

Well we are on the official count down to Canada.  The kis are SO excited to get back and see everyone… and of course, go fishing!!!  Daniel and I had to have a talk about how much fishing stuff he can take in his suitcae.  Little dude wants to bring everything back to show his “fishing buddies” (Klaus and Nancy).  Thomas is looking forward to getting away from the heat.

We went to the school for Daniel’s birthday a couple of weeks ago.  The class is learning about bugs, so Thomas had to wear his spider P.J’s.  Of course they are made of polar fleece and long sleeves and pants. Its about 45 degrees out, so I’m walking at a pretty good pace to get him inside into the a/c.  Little Thomas says to me “Why are we walking so fast?”   I reply “Cause its hot and you have warm cloths on.”  His response…. “Yah, cause when I get hot… I whine!!!!”  Too true!  It was a nice and stifling 48 degrees yesterday.  Still waiting for the temp to reach 50!!!

Today is Thomas’ birthday, he’s now offically four years old.  It makes me kind of sad thinking about it.  The boys are growing up so quick, and I want them to stay little.  I’m sure everyone in Canada will notice a big difference when we get home, having not seen them for 10 months.

Anyway, there is yet another cake waiting for me to ice it.  Looking forward to seeing everyone back home…  19 days!!!!!
