Don’t know how many of you follow along in the online photos, but daniel recently had to visit the hospital… He has had hearing loss for quite some time. He was down to about 20% remaining, and it was a constant battle of antibiotics, doctors visits not to mention a sick kid.
We got home from Greece on sunday Night. The flight deserves it’s own post, so… we’ll leave it at that. Daniel was into see the dr on Monday afternoon, and jen mentioned that she wanted him to have the surgery(tubes and adenoids) to alleviate some of the pain associated with not hearing. We had to see the doctor on tuesday to see when we might be able to schedule the surgery. Hopefully for early May.
We went to the dr on tuesday and jen asked if it could get moved up at all… Well, they had an opening the next day. We had to have blood drawn at 6:30 pm, and then there was to be no more food till surgery the next morning. No more food after the banana split we shared…
We got to the hospital at 7, prepared to spend the day. He went in for surgery at about 11:30. 11:45, the doctor comes out and congratulates us. The surgery went well, he was great and will be out in 2 minutes.. Mom gets ready to go in… then he says, Oh, here you go. and hands us his adenoids.(awkward)
It’s now been almost a week and the kids seems to have fully recovered. Today, the final chapter in this episode has completed… Daniel took his skull xray and adenoids into his class for show and tell. Poor ms Swain.
